i could watch amy and tina do update for years. it just GETS ME in my little baby feminist heart to see two ladies who don’t give a shit and would suck beer out of dirt for each other.
sethly is cute, and holy crap I have a rpf shipping issue when it comes to him and amy, but i think he works best with someone else, which is why i think there are so many corespondents/guests on update now.
my jimmy fallon situation is kind of embarrassing. actual conversation with my dad:
me: i love jimmy fallon.
my dad: ok
me: no you don’t understand I LOVE HIM.
i also really like some more old school stuff though. norm is a fucking legend, and to quote tina, “the last dangerous cast member”. “jane you ignorant slut” is the only time i ever use the word “slut” and my ability to respond with “dan you pompous ass” when it’s thrown at me is one of my fave things about me. (most of my friends quote “ignorant slut” from the office)
and in general, i love that in the middle of the crazy sketches there is this oasis of people as themselves. Yes, they are still playing a heightened version, but I love the 15 minutes I get to spend with them. (to quote amy (god, I am being a nerd about this…) “everything changes because you say your name”)

so today is a gr8 day guys!!
apparently the camp that i’ve basically given my entire life to doesn’t think i’m even worth emailing back about a job!
even though i’ve worked there for the past 3 years!
even though i work so hard that i’ve had emotional breakdowns!
even when i said that i don’t care if they give me the job or not! i just want it acknowledged that my email was read and received!
even though this guy (the director) is supposedly my friend!
it’s just really awful to realize that a job and a place that you love and pour your blood, sweat, and tears into (for a, to be honest, shitty paycheck) doesn’t even respect you enough to even TELL YOU if they want to hire you or not.
i played their shitty games. i sent in the application even though there are ridiculous double standards where some people can just announce what job they want, but others who have worked there for the same amount of time have to reapply every year.
i was told that i would know either way TWO WEEKS AGO. no email. i sent a message, asking when i should expect to find out, i was told last friday. last friday arrives. nothing. i send a reminder. nothing. a couple days later, another reminder. nothing. finally, i send an ultimatum: contact me in any way by friday (today) or i withdraw my application.
today? nothing.
so fuck everything. i’m going to sit here, eat a bowl of berries, and watch say yes to the dress.
